Burkhard von Kienitz is an experienced energy expert. He manages COO processes at E.ON SE's
Headquarter in Essen and reports directly to the CEO, Dr. Leo Birnbaum. He gives lectures at the

Technical University of Munich, holds mandates in national and international organizations and is a

supervisory Board Member of several international Companies.

Over the past few decades, Burkhard has worked in different countries and held various positions in

the energy industry. Among others, he spent three years in Romania establishing shared services

units.

He is an Officer at the World Energy Council (WEC). Within this global organization, he serves as

Chair for Cross-Regional cooperation, Interim Chair for Europe, and as member of the Finance

Committee.
