Miłosz Motyka (born on 30 September 1992 in Myślenice) is a politician and public administration executive specialising in energy transition and energy security. He holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Agriculture in Kraków and is a graduate of the School for Political Leaders.
Throughout his public career, he has consistently combined civic engagement with the management of institutional processes, gaining extensive experience at the intersection of public administration, politics and social dialogue.
From 2017 to 2023, he headed the Polish People’s Party Youth Forum. Since 2019, he has served as spokesperson and Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Polish People’s Party, with responsibility for communications and the coordination of nationwide activities.
In 2024, he was elected to the Małopolska Regional Assembly, where he became Deputy Chair of the Committee for Environmental Protection and Public Safety. In this capacity, he has actively contributed to shaping the region’s environmental policy.
From 2023 to 2025, as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, he oversaw renewable energy and the electricity sector, supporting the acceleration of investment and strengthening the resilience and stability of Poland’s energy system.
Since July 2025, he has served as Minister of Energy, with responsibility for setting the strategic direction of Poland’s energy policy and overseeing its implementation. His priorities include strengthening energy security, enhancing the country’s energy independence, and delivering a consistent and effective transformation of the energy sector.
