An energy industry expert with 40 years of experience. A graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, where he earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Geology.
He began his career at the Oil and Gas Institute as a research and engineering specialist. He gained managerial experience in the private sector in oilfield services. While at the Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG), he held numerous key management positions, including Director of the Gas Sales and Marketing Division. From 2005 to 2017, he was associated with ORLEN as President of the Management Board of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o.
A long-standing member of supervisory boards of capital groups, including those with State Treasury participation, as well as a member of Boards of Directors in the oil & gas industry.
Throughout his career, he has managed numerous investment, acquisition, and restructuring projects in the oil and gas sector, ensuring competitive and sustainable production of crude oil and natural gas, including LNG, while enhancing the group's value and financial capacity for growth.

This roundtable will focus on the role of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies in supporting industrial decarbonization across the Baltic Sea region. Discussions will address ongoing work within the HELCOM framework and the region’s first offshore CO₂ storage project, Baltic Aurelia.

Participants will include representatives of industry, public authorities, energy sector, infrastructure operators, and organizations engaged in the development and deployment of CCS projects.
